Christine's First Book

Christine's book "My Life with Sea Turtles" traces nearly two decades of her work and life with sea turtles in Costa Rica. The book follows her path into marine biology, the realities of on-the-ground conservation, and the moments that shaped her approach to science and outreach. It gives a behind-the-scenes view of research, fieldwork, and the global response to the plastic straw video.

The book was first published in German by Malik (Piper Verlag) in March 2023 and later in English by Greystone Books in May 2024.

In September 2025, the Korean translation was released.
